Join the World Affairs Council of Kentucky and Southern Indiana on Tuesday, January 24 at the University of Louisville (University Club and Alumni Center) for our “World @ Home” Monthly Speaker Series event. This January, we’ll be welcoming Edward Alden, the Bernard L. Schwartz senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), specializing in U.S. economic competitiveness.

Event Description: This lecture will discuss the federal government’s failure to respond effectively to competitive challenges on issues such as trade, currency, worker retraining programs, education, infrastructure, and support for innovation. The event will be followed by a book-signing of Edward Alden’s new book, “Failure to Adjust: How Americans Got Left Behind in the Global Economy” and dinner at the University Club.
